The Milenco Aero 4 Extra Wide XXL Towing Mirror Twin Pack is built on the same design as Milenco's standard Aero 4 and Grand Aero 4 mirrors, but with a longer arm intended for wider caravans, RVs and travel trailers.

What makes it "extra wide"

The arm is approximately 41cm long, compared with the standard Aero arm of around 31cm, giving a better field of view where you're towing a wide caravan with a narrower car. According to Milenco, the Extra Wide mirror head is supplied with convex glass.

Fit

It uses the universal Aero 4 clamping system and is designed to fit most cars, SUVs and vans, with the larger XXL mirror head providing a wider field of view for larger or wider caravans. If your vehicle has curved or tapered mirror housings, Milenco recommends its Aero Pads (product code 4300) for a more secure grip. What to know before you buy

The extended arm and larger head give a wide field of view, particularly useful on wide caravans, though some slight movement can occur on rough roads or in strong crosswinds. This is normal for extended towing mirrors and shouldn't affect safety once the mirror is correctly fitted.

UK towing law

Under UK law, a driver must have an adequate view to the rear and fit towing mirrors suitable for the width of the trailer or caravan if it's wider than the car – not doing so can carry a fine of up to £1,000 and 3 penalty points. This twin pack supplies one mirror for each side of the vehicle.
