Top 5 Noseweights & Cargo Bars Every Caravan Owner Needs

Getting a caravan's noseweight wrong — too heavy or too light on the tow ball — affects handling and stability on the road, and the Milenco Precision Calibrated Noseweight Gauge is built to take the guesswork out of setting it correctly.

Why calibration matters

It's the only noseweight gauge approved and calibrated to British Standard BS7961, and Milenco says the unique, hard-wearing materials used mean it maintains calibration even after 1,000 uses — where generic uncalibrated gauges can drift by up to 30kg. The large, easy-read scale measures up to 130kg with ±2kg accuracy under that standard.

Designed for the job

It's built to the same working height as a caravan A-frame, so there's no need to block it up on bricks or boxes — you simply position it, couple the caravan onto it, and read the result.

How to use it

Load the caravan as you would for travel and park on level ground, position the gauge under the hitch at A-frame height, then lower the caravan onto the gauge and read the true noseweight — adjusting your loading to suit your vehicle and hitch limits. Product code 2691.
