Spring Maintenance Guide for Your Wheel Trims

Wheel trims take the brunt of kerbs, gravel drives and road grime over a season, so a spring check is worth the ten minutes it takes. The Milenco Chrome Wheel Trims (13", set of 4) use a spring-ring retention system that grips the rim for a tight, rattle-free fit, designed for steel wheels on caravans and trailers.

What to check

Look for any trims that have started to work loose or rattle at speed — this usually means the spring-ring retention has weakened or picked up debris. Give them a clean to bring back the chrome finish and check for any cracking around the edges.

Refitting

Clean the rim, align the trim to the valve stem, then press evenly around the edge until it's fully seated. It's a push-fit installation with no special tools required, but it's worth rechecking security after the first few miles and at routine stops through the season.

These trims are designed for 13" steel wheels only — not alloy wheels or twin rear wheel fitments — so it's worth double-checking your wheel type if you're unsure. Remember to remove them before any tyre changes or wheel balancing.
