The Milenco OptiMate Extension Lead (460 cm / 15 ft, 5616) adds extra reach between an OptiMate charger or Milenco Solar by OptiMate controller and the battery it's connected to.

What it does

The lead uses the standard SAE 2-pin quick-disconnect connector, giving a tidy, tool-free plug-in extension for the OptiMate ecosystem. At 4.6 m (15 ft), it gives enough slack to route the cable along sills, under seats, or up to roof-mounted panels, so the charger or controller can stay accessible while the battery itself is tucked away.

Build

It's a flexible, weather-resistant cable with strain-relief mouldings at each connector to make routing and repeated use easier.

Compatibility

The lead works with OptiMate 12V chargers and Milenco Solar by OptiMate controllers (SAE 2-pin), connecting between the charger or controller lead and your SAE ring-terminal or crocodile clamp lead.

Use notes

Route the lead away from sharp edges and moving parts, securing it with clips or ties. Milenco advises against daisy-chaining multiple extensions together, as this can cause voltage drop, and recommends keeping connectors capped when not in use to protect them from dirt and moisture.
