How they're built

The ribbed outer shell narrows the contact area on impact, helping to disperse energy away from the mirror rather than transmitting it directly. A multi-layered construction, up to 6mm thick in the critical zones, adds further durability, and because the protector wraps around the outer edge of the mirror it covers both forward and reverse impacts — not just one side, which matters if you catch a mirror on something while reversing as much as while driving forward.
