Essential Maintenance Tips for Toasters

Milenco's Swiss Luxx toasters need very little upkeep, but a few habits help them run safely and reliably on tour.

Crumb tray

Empty the crumb tray regularly — all three models have a removable or slide-out tray specifically for this — to reduce the risk of burning and keep the toaster working efficiently.

Placement

Always use the toaster on a flat, heat-resistant surface with clear airflow around it, and never operate it under cupboards where heat could build up.

Power supply

On campsites, connect to an RCD-protected supply, and avoid running the toaster alongside other high-draw appliances at the same time — the low wattages (700–750W) are designed to make this easier, but hook-up capacity is still limited.
