Essential Maintenance Tips for myCOOLMAN Single Zone Fridge / Freezers

myCOOLMAN 43L Portable Fridge/Freezer – Single Zone – 12/24V DC + 240V AC – Bluetooth App Control

A little routine care keeps the myCOOLMAN 43L Portable Fridge/Freezer running efficiently and helps it hold its temperature reliably trip after trip.

Before you set off

Pre-cool the cabinet and its contents before departure rather than loading warm food and expecting the compressor to catch up on the road — this is myCOOLMAN's own recommended set-up step and makes a real difference to how hard the compressor has to work early on.

Give it room to breathe

Allow ventilation around the compressor end, and keep the unit shaded where possible; a compressor fridge working in direct sun or a poorly ventilated locker has to work harder to hold its set temperature, which uses more power and puts more strain on the unit.

Use the right mode for the job

Switch to Eco/low power overnight when you're running from the leisure battery, and use Turbo/Max mode when you need rapid cool-down after loading fresh shopping. The 3-stage low-voltage cut-out is there to protect your battery, but choosing the right mode for the situation means you're less likely to rely on it.

Travelling with it

Secure the fridge using the tie-down-rated handles and approved tie-down points, and keep it level when parked so the compressor and any liquids inside behave as intended. A quick wipe-out of the interior and baskets after each trip also keeps the removable storage fresh for next time.
