Getting the most out of a pair of Milenco MGI Wedge Levels comes down to a few simple habits around how and where you use them, and how you look after them between trips.
Always set the ramps on firm, stable ground. On soft grass, gravel or sand, check the ramp is sitting flat and not starting to sink before committing the wheel to it, and drive on slowly rather than at speed.
Once the van is level, apply the parking brake and place a separate wheel chock against the downhill side of the tyre; Milenco does not supply a chock with this set, so you will need your own. Remember these ramps are not designed as a jack and should not be used to bridge a gap.
Rinse the ramps after use to remove mud, grit and grass, and let them dry fully before packing them away. The lightweight, stackable design means a clean, dry pair takes up minimal room in a locker.
Before each trip, give the ramps a quick visual check for cracking or damage to the tread, since the grip surface is what keeps the wheel from slipping as you drive on.
