Essential Maintenance Tips for Heaters

The Milenco Swiss Luxx Swivel Ceramic Fan Heater is designed to be low-maintenance, but a few habits will keep it running safely and efficiently over time.

Keep the airflow clear

Because it uses a PTC ceramic element and fan to move warm air, keeping the intake and outlet clear of dust, fabric or clutter matters both for performance and safety. Milenco specifies never covering the heater and keeping it clear of soft furnishings — worth checking every time you set it up in a different spot.

Use the safety features as intended

The built-in tip-over switch and overheat cut-out are there to shut the heater down automatically if it's knocked over or runs too hot. Always place it on a flat, stable surface so the tip-over switch isn't triggered unnecessarily, and never operate it unattended.

Storage between uses

When not in use, unplug the heater rather than leaving it on standby, and let it cool fully before packing it away. Store it somewhere dry — the compact size and integrated carry handle make it easy to move between the caravan, motorhome and awning, or to store away safely when travelling.

Power supply

On a campsite, always run the heater from a properly rated RCD-protected supply, and don't run it from anything other than the specified 220–240 V AC mains.
