Essential Maintenance Tips for Grills

A little care after each use keeps the Milenco Swiss Luxx Teppanyaki Grill (1500 W) performing well and safe to use.

Let it cool before cleaning

Allow the plate to cool fully before removing the temperature controller and washing the plate. Never immerse the controller or power lead in water.

Protect the non-stick surface

Use wooden or silicone utensils rather than metal, to avoid scratching the non-stick coating, which is what keeps food release easy and clean-up quick over time.

Empty the drip tray

Remove and clean the drip tray after each use, rather than letting fats and juices sit, both for hygiene and to stop residue building up around the plate.

Set it up correctly before cooking

Place the grill on a flat, heat-resistant surface with space around it for airflow, and pre-heat before adding food, in line with Milenco's use guidance.

Store it dry

Make sure the plate, controller and drip tray are fully dry before packing away, particularly if storing in a caravan locker between trips.
