Essential Maintenance Tips for Falcon Mirror Covers

Falcon Mirror Covers x 2 (White) Long Arm

Falcon Mirror Covers are low-maintenance by design, but a little regular care will keep them looking smart and fitted securely for the life of your motorhome.

Check the clamp fit

The covers are held on using a screw-on clamp rather than adhesive. It's worth checking periodically that the clamp is still tight, particularly after a long tow or a spell of rough roads, since a loose cover is more likely to work free or rattle than one that's properly seated.

Cleaning

Because the covers sit over the mirror housing, they're exposed to the same road grime, insects and weather as the rest of the vehicle's exterior. A regular wash as part of your normal motorhome cleaning routine is enough to keep them looking presentable — there's no special treatment required beyond that.

Covering existing damage

One practical benefit worth remembering is that these covers can also be used to hide existing scuffs or scrapes on the mirror housing underneath. If you're fitting them partly for this reason, check the housing is clean and dry first so the cover clamps down evenly.

Compatibility reminder

These covers are made for long-arm mirrors on 2007-onwards Fiat Ducato, Peugeot Boxer and Citroen Relay motorhomes. If you ever replace your mirrors or vehicle, it's worth re-checking arm length and vehicle compatibility before assuming the same covers will fit.
