The Milenco Falcon Mirror Twin Pack is designed to be low-maintenance, but a few simple checks will keep it performing well and looking presentable for years.
The mirror clamps to your car's existing mirror and arm using a single thumb screw running in a brass thread, with stainless steel screws throughout. Because the fixings are stainless in brass, they're built to resist corrosion, but it's still worth checking the thumb screw is properly tightened before each tow — a loose clamp is the most common cause of a mirror that moves or vibrates on the road.
Milenco's unique air-balanced design is what keeps the mirror stable and stops vibration at speed. There's nothing to service here, but if you notice the mirror shaking more than usual, it's worth checking the clamp screw first, as a loose fitting is far more likely to be the cause than a fault with the balancing mechanism itself.
If any part wears out, Milenco supplies genuine replacement parts specifically for the Falcon range rather than needing a whole new mirror: a Falcon Mirror Clamp, a pair of Falcon Mirror Pads, and Falcon Mirror Heads (a Grand Falcon Mirror Head is also available for the larger-headed version). Keeping these in mind means a scuffed pad or a cracked head doesn't have to mean replacing the entire twin pack.
The Twin Pack comes supplied with a carry bag, which is worth using between tows — it keeps both mirrors together and protects the aerodynamic head and glass when they're not clamped to the car.
