The Milenco Caravan Leg Nut Lock is designed to be simple and durable, but a little routine care keeps it working reliably as part of your caravan's security layers.
The lock fits onto the corner steady leg nut and locks the leg in the down position. Before setting off or leaving the caravan on site, check it's still correctly seated on the leg nut and hasn't been knocked loose — an easy-fit design means it's just as easy to check.
Corner steadies sit low down and close to the ground, so the lock is exposed to mud, grit and standing water more than most other security devices on the van. Wiping it down periodically helps keep the locking mechanism free of debris that could make it harder to operate.
Milenco designs this lock to work alongside a wheel clamp and hitchlock rather than as a sole security measure — using it in combination with those other devices, sold separately, gives more complete protection than relying on the corner steady lock alone.
If the leg nut receiver wears out or goes missing, Milenco sells a genuine replacement leg nut receiver that's compatible with both the single and twin-pack Leg Nut Lock, so a worn receiver doesn't mean replacing the whole lock.
