Complete Buying Guide: Torque Wrenches / Wheelbolt Indicators

This range covers two related but different products: wheel bolt indicators, which give an ongoing visual check that a bolt hasn't moved, and the Torque Wrench Safety Kit, which lets you torque wheels to the correct specification in the first place.

Wheel bolt indicators

Milenco's indicators are a registered design with a directional arrow that shows at a glance if a bolt has moved or loosened. They're available in 17mm and 19mm hex sizes to fit AL-KO and BPW standard bolts, plus a Bailey-compatible option (SKU 4251), all supplied in packs of 10. They should be fitted after bolts have been correctly torqued and re-torqued as instructed, not used as a substitute for that step.

Torque wrench safety kit

The Caravan Torque Wrench Safety Kit (product code 2868) includes a torque wrench, a correctly sized wheel nut socket, an extension bar and 20 wheel nut indicators, letting you torque your caravan's wheels to the manufacturer's specification yourself. It's not suitable for Bailey caravans — Milenco lists product code 2875 as the alternative for those.

Using them together

The sensible combination is to torque wheels correctly with the wrench kit, then fit indicators so you can check at a glance whether anything has moved since — useful after a tyre change, service, or a long tow.
