Milenco's caravan and motorhome door lock range covers several fitting methods, so the right choice depends on the space and gap you have available at your door rather than there being one universal option.

Through-wall locks

The Milenco 4718 Inside/Outside Security Door Lock is designed to fit external walls between 25mm and 50mm thick and only needs a 30mm gap between the door frame and furniture, making it suited to a wide range of vehicles including the popular Ducato. It has a high-security cylinder with countermeasures against bump keys, and it can be engaged from both inside and outside, with a visible external locking feature that acts as an added deterrent. Milenco also makes a slide-action through-wall lock (single or keyed-alike triple pack) that bolts through the wall with a mounting plate, cover and M6 bolts, and locks in both open and closed positions.

Frame-mounted locks

If you don't have space inside the wall, Milenco's Door Frame Lock screws directly into the door frame instead, needing no interior mounting space at all. It requires a minimum 5mm door-frame gap and is available as a single or a keyed-alike triple pack, both with the same anti-bump cylinder and lock open/closed function.

Multi-mount locks

The Milenco Multi Lock is the most flexible option, supporting through-wall, door-frame (minimum 3.5mm gap) or surface mounting from the same unit. It's rattle-free, powder-coated, uses stainless-steel fixings, and suits caravan doors as well as van rear, sliding and cab doors.

Choosing between them

Measure your door-frame gap first — under 3.5mm rules out frame mounting altogether, and the Multi Lock's flexibility makes it worth considering if you're not certain which fitting method your door will suit. All of the locks in the range share the same anti-bump cylinder technology, so the deciding factor is almost always which one physically fits your door.
