Carpetina Classic is Milenco's breathable woven awning carpet for caravans, motorhomes and campervans, designed as a site-friendly groundsheet that lets the pitch breathe and drain rather than sealing it under a solid sheet.

How it works

The open weave construction lets air and moisture pass through to the grass underneath, which Milenco says creates a clean, dry, comfortable surface that's kinder to grass than solid groundsheets. It's made from rot-resistant, UV-stable polypropylene, and despite being lightweight it's described as hard-wearing — it lays flat, shakes clean, and rolls up compact for storage.

Sizes and colours

Carpetina Classic is available in 5.0m x 2.5m and 6.0m x 2.5m sizes, in Green, Red and Blue depending on the size, so you can pick the dimensions that suit your awning footprint and a colour that fits your taste.

Fitting around obstacles

Because it's a cut-to-fit material, you can trim it to shape with scissors to fit around poles or wheels, and Milenco notes the edges won't unravel once cut — useful for awnings with fixed groundwork like tent pegs, poles or wheel arches in the way.

Using and storing it

Milenco recommends laying it on a smooth, debris-free surface and pegging it down with awning-carpet pegs if needed. Rinse and dry it thoroughly before storage, and avoid placing hot items directly on the fabric.
