Milenco's alarm range spans two different types of protection: the Remote Alarm, which is fitted to the vehicle itself, and the Sleep Safe Alarm, a personal alarm designed to be kept with you rather than wired into the vehicle.

Milenco Remote Alarm

Built to automotive standards, this 12V alarm is designed for vans, caravans and motorhomes, and is simple to install — it connects with just two wires to a power source. It's controlled via a wireless remote and provides motion and impact protection for a cargo or habitation area. For emergencies, it has a Panic Mode: holding the lock button for 5 seconds triggers an ultra-loud siren for 30 seconds while the LED flashes to attract attention. The supplied remote uses code-hopping technology, generating a fresh rolling code on every press specifically to defeat code-grabbing attacks.

Sleep Safe Alarm

Milenco also makes the Sleep Safe Alarm, a personal alarm designed to give you protection while you sleep. Its replacement batteries are rated to last more than 1000 hours — the equivalent of around 120 nights of use — which gives a sense of how long a set of batteries should last in typical use.

Choosing between them

The Remote Alarm is the right choice if you want motion and impact detection covering the vehicle's interior with a remote-controlled system. The Sleep Safe Alarm serves a different purpose, as a personal device rather than a vehicle-fitted system. Genuine spares — a replacement remote transmitter for the Remote Alarm, and replacement batteries for the Sleep Safe Alarm — are both available separately.
