Comparing Milenco 12S 7-Pin Socket (Grey) – Caravan & Towbar Supplementary Electrics vs Milenco Swiss Luxx Large Teppanyaki Grill – 1800 W – XL Non-Stick Hot Plate with Drip Tray (4169): Which is Right for You?

Milenco 12S 7-Pin Socket (Grey) – Caravan & Towbar Supplementary Electrics

The Milenco 12S 7-Pin Socket (Grey) is a replacement supplementary socket for UK caravan and trailer wiring, designed to restore the auxiliary circuits that run alongside your vehicle's standard 12N lighting connection.

What it carries

The 12S socket handles the caravan's supplementary functions rather than the road lights — typically the fridge feed, leisure battery charging (both ignition live), a permanent live, the reversing light, earths and an auxiliary/reverse sensor line. It pairs with the standard black 12N socket, which continues to handle the indicators, brake and tail lights.

Build

It's built with a durable thermoplastic body and brass terminals, aimed at giving a solid, low-resistance connection over the long term, and it meets the ISO 3732 specification for 12S connectors.

Fitment

This is a like-for-like replacement for vehicles and caravans still using the traditional twin-7-pin (12N + 12S) setup, which remains widely used in the UK. It's supplied as a single grey socket, manufacturer code 1793.

If your existing 12S socket has become cracked, corroded or unreliable, swapping it for this one should restore a dependable connection for your caravan's fridge feed, battery charging and reversing light circuit.
