Comparing Different Wheel Trims - Expert Analysis

With 13 wheel trim options across several sizes and finishes, the practical comparison is less about which is "best" and more about matching size and profile to your wheels.

By size

13" trims suit caravan and trailer wheels; 14" trims cover a similar range including some specific fits (Explorer 2008 onwards, and a silver version used by Bailey); 15" and 16" trims step up to motorhome steel wheels.

Flat vs bulbous profile

Most trims use a standard flat profile, but the 16" bulbous chrome design uses a deeper, dome-shaped profile to clear protruding hubs and wheel bolts that a standard trim might not fit over — worth checking if your current trims, or bare wheels, show signs of rubbing.

Finish

Silver and chrome are the brightest finishes; magnolia and white are designed to blend with lighter-coloured vehicle exteriors rather than stand out. All finishes use the same spring-ring retention and push-fit installation, so the choice is cosmetic rather than functional.
