The Milenco MGI Wedge Levels use a wedge-shaped ramp rather than a stepped design, which changes how they behave on site. Here is a closer look at that design and what it means in practice.
Because the ramp rises smoothly rather than in fixed increments, you can stop the wheel at any point along the slope, which gives finer control over the exact amount of lift you need rather than being locked into set heights.
The wide base is intended to spread the wheel's weight over a larger area, helping to resist the ramp sinking into softer ground such as grass or damp gravel. The tread on the ramp surface is designed for confident traction as the tyre rolls up, including in wet conditions.
Milenco describes the build as lightweight and durable, made to be hosed clean after use and to stack neatly for storage, which keeps them easy to handle and stow between trips.
They are not a jack and are not intended for bridging gaps, so they should only be used for levelling on firm, stable ground. A wheel chock is needed on the downhill side once you are level, but is sold separately.
