Lights only, by design

This adaptor is built specifically to carry the road lighting circuits — indicators, brake, tail and fog lights — from a 13-pin vehicle socket to a 7-pin trailer plug. It is not designed to carry auxiliary supply, so anything relying on the 13-pin socket for power beyond lighting, such as fridge or battery charging, is not covered.

Why a plug-in adaptor rather than rewiring

Because it is a direct plug-in fit, there's no need to rewire either the vehicle or the trailer socket, which keeps the original wiring intact on both sides — useful if you switch between vehicles or don't want to modify a caravan's wiring loom.

Checking the connection
