Comparing Different BC Locks - Expert Analysis

Milenco's BC Lock range shares the same core design across every version — a high-security, drill and cutter resistant lock with a protective foam base that fits in seconds — but which pedals it locks, and which vehicles it fits, varies by model.

Manual Fiat Ducato / Peugeot Boxer / Citroen Relay (2007–2015 and 2016 onwards)

Both versions lock the brake and clutch pedals, rendering them inoperative. The two are split by model year, so it's important to check which generation of vehicle you have before ordering.

Automatic Fiat Ducato / Peugeot Boxer / Citroen Relay (2016 onwards)

Because there's no clutch pedal on an automatic, this version instead locks the brake and accelerator pedals.

Automatic Ford Transit / Mercedes Sprinter

This version locks the brake pedal only, and is supplied with an additional foam base to suit the pedal layout on these vehicles.

Manual Ford Transit

Like the Ducato/Boxer/Relay manual versions, this locks the brake and clutch pedals, but is shaped and sized for the Transit's pedal box.

What stays the same across every version

Every BC Lock in the range is Police Recommended and Sold Secure Gold approved, has a drill and cutter resistant cylinder, fits in seconds, and comes with three keys. The decision isn't really about which is "better" — it's about matching the lock to your specific vehicle, model year and transmission type.
