Comparing Different Antenna's - Expert Analysis

Milenco's Power 900 range covers two antenna profiles built around the same omni-directional reception system, so the choice comes down to your roof profile and power supply rather than reception quality.

Power 900

The standard Power 900 has a higher body — around 32cm overall height — and runs from a 12/24V powered amplifier, making it suitable where a 24V supply is present alongside the more common 12V. It gives 360-degree reception of DVB-T/T2 Freeview, DAB and FM, with a low-noise, variable-gain amplifier and mobile-interference filtering built in.

Power 900L

The 900L is the compact version, with a lower-profile housing and a 12V-only power injector rather than 12/24V. It receives the same DVB-T/T2 Freeview, DAB and FM signals, uses the same omni-directional, no-pointing-required design, and includes the same low-noise amplifier and 4G/LTE interference filtering.

Spares for the 900L

If you already own a Power 900L, Milenco sells the inline amplifier and power injector separately, as well as a genuine short base/foot as a like-for-like replacement if the original is cracked or leaking — useful if only one part has failed rather than the whole unit.

Which to choose

If your vehicle has a 24V system or you simply prefer the taller profile, the Power 900 is the match. If you want a lower-profile fit and only need 12V power, the Power 900L covers the same reception performance in a more compact housing.
