The Grand Aero Platinum Mirror combines the wide-view Grand Aero head with Milenco’s latest clamp innovation. The clamp body is larger than previous Aero versions and can accept mirror bezels up to 25 millimetres thick. The sprung gripper plates are more than fifty per cent larger than the pads used on the Aero 3. This creates a wider surface area and allows the mirror to form to the shape of the vehicle housing for improved grip and reduced vibration.
The larger diameter arm offers additional stability and is long enough for use on caravans up to 2.55 metres wide. The aerodynamic mirror head helps balance airflow around the vehicle to further reduce movement. Materials include stainless steel and brass in key load-bearing points to resist corrosion and provide long-term durability. The mirror glass is high quality chrome glass for a long service life.
The Platinum clamp system significantly reduces movement compared with older mirror styles, although some light vibration may still occur on rough road surfaces or in strong winds. This is normal for extended towing mirrors and does not affect the clarity of the rearward view when fitted correctly. Even tightening of the clamps and careful alignment will give the best results.
Grand Aero Platinum mirrors have been fully homologated and type-approved to the latest international standard UN 46-4. They are suitable for use on vehicles towing caravans up to the maximum legal width permitted in the UK and EU. The design provides a clear field of view that meets all current towing visibility requirements.
