Aero Flat Mirrors are designed to fit most cars, 4x4s and vans using Milenco’s original universal clamping system. The adjustable clamp head and tilting thumb wheels allow the mirror to shape itself to the contours of your vehicle mirror, providing a secure and stable fit on almost all modern vehicles.
If your vehicle has curved or tapered mirror housings, Aero Pads may provide a firmer grip. If you would like us to check compatibility, you can contact us with your vehicle make, model and year.
The Aero Flat Mirror is manufactured using high quality, corrosion resistant materials. The screws are made from stainless steel and turn in brass inserts that will not corrode. The mirror surface is chrome safety glass. The upgraded gripper system prevents the pads from becoming loose, and the design avoids the use of straps, helping to reduce vibration and wind noise.
The mirror head has been tested at speeds of up to 155 mph to ensure reliable stability. The aerodynamic shape uses airflow around the vehicle to help balance the mirror head when towing, which reduces the effect of crosswinds and passing large vehicles.
Light movement may occur on rough roads or in strong winds. This is normal for extended towing mirrors and does not affect visibility or safety when fitted correctly.
If your caravan is wider than your car, UK law requires you to use towing mirrors on both sides of the vehicle. For vehicles approved to ECE 2003/97 or ECE 2005/27, or any car registered after 26 January 2007, towing mirrors may project up to 25 centimetres beyond the widest point of the caravan. For older vehicles, the limit is 20 centimetres.
