The Aero Platinum Mirror is an updated design that builds on earlier generations of Milenco Aero mirrors. The flexible gripper plates are more than fifty per cent larger than the pads used on the Aero 3, creating a wider contact area for improved grip and stability. The Platinum clamp has increased depth and can accept mirror bezels up to 25 millimetres in thickness. The arm is a larger diameter for additional stability and has enough reach for use on caravans up to 2.55 metres wide.
Materials include stainless steel and brass in key load-bearing areas to resist corrosion and provide long-term durability. The mirror glass is high quality chrome glass designed to offer a long service life without discolouration.
Aero Platinum mirrors are designed to fit almost all modern cars, 4x4s and vans. The Platinum clamp system has been developed to suit very tapered and aerodynamic mirror bezels, which are now common on newer vehicles. The sprung, rubber-faced gripper plates adjust to the shape of the mirror housing to provide a secure and stable fit. The Platinum clamp system reduces movement compared with earlier mirror designs, although some light vibration may still occur on uneven road surfaces or in strong winds. This is normal for extended towing mirrors and does not affect visibility when fitted correctly. Even tightening of the clamps and careful alignment will provide the best performance.
Aero Platinum mirrors are fully homologated and type-approved to the latest version of the international vehicle standard UN 46-4. They are suitable for vehicles towing caravans up to the maximum legal width in the UK and EU and help meet all current visibility requirements.
This listing includes two mirrors, one for each side of the vehicle. A twin pack is recommended to ensure full legal and safe rearward visibility when towing.
