Despite living on our security blog, the Milenco Falcon Safety Mirror Convex isn't a theft-deterrent product — it's a budget towing mirror aimed at drivers who only tow occasionally, so this article looks at what it actually does.
This is a strap-on mirror designed to fit most cars and 4x4s for occasional towing. It's a budget option rather than a premium fixed-clamp mirror, and Milenco notes it won't fit tapered mirror housings especially well — if your vehicle has a heavily tapered mirror, one of Milenco's clamp-based Aero or Falcon mirrors would suit better.
It's fitted with safety glass and meets the current Safety Regulations for towing mirrors, including the pedestrian safety regulations, and is type-approved and E-marked to the latest legally required European standard. That matters because if your caravan is wider than your car, UK law requires you to fit additional e-marked towing mirrors on both sides — this mirror is intended to satisfy that requirement for occasional tow trips.
Because it straps onto your existing mirror rather than clamping into the housing, it's quick to fit and remove between trips, which suits drivers who don't tow often enough to justify a permanent mirror set. If you tow regularly, a clamp-fit mirror will generally give a more stable, vibration-free view.
