Spring Maintenance Guide for Your Aluminium Leveller

Milenco Lightweight Aluminium Wheel Leveller with Ratchet & Carry Case – 1000kg Per Wheel (Caravan 2000kg / Motorhome 4000kg)

Levelling shouldn't mean crawling around under the caravan with a spirit level and a pile of wood offcuts. The Milenco Lightweight Aluminium Wheel Leveller weighs under 5kg and lifts up to 1000kg per wheel — 2000kg total for a caravan, or 4000kg for a motorhome — using a ratchet for precise, low-effort adjustment.

Checking it before the season

Inspect the screw bar and ratchet mechanism for any stiffness or corrosion after winter storage, and check the carry case hasn't let in any damp. A dry mechanism that ratchets smoothly is what makes this leveller quick to use, so it's worth a proper look before the first trip.

Using it

Simply slide the leveller under the wheel and use the supplied ratchet to raise or lower — no crawling underneath required. The screw bar provides up to 250mm of travel, though real-world lift is typically 120–180mm depending on tyre and frame clearance and ground conditions. For twin-axle caravans, you'll usually need two units, one per wheel.

Using it safely

Always chock the opposite wheel and apply the handbrake before levelling, use it on firm, level ground where possible, and consider a base board on softer surfaces. Check the ground clearance around the tyre and lifting frame to confirm what lift is achievable before you start.
