The Milenco OptiMate 10 is a 12V, 10A smart battery charger designed to charge, maintain and recover leisure and starter batteries in motorhomes, caravans, vans, cars and boats. It works with flooded, AGM, gel and EFB/Start-Stop lead-acid batteries.
The charger analyses the battery's condition and automatically applies the correct programme: save/recover, charge, maintain and test. A built-in desulfation mode is designed to help recover batteries that have been left neglected or discharged. Once the battery reaches full charge, OptiMate 10 switches to a maintenance/float programme, which is safe to leave connected for long periods without overcharging.
With a 10A output, it's built for faster, controlled charging of larger leisure batteries than Milenco's smaller OptiMate models. Temperature-smart/Ampmatic control adjusts the charge to suit the battery's size and condition, and a power supply mode is available for diagnostic work or to provide voltage support during jobs such as an ECU memory swap. The charger is fully automatic and spark-safe, with reverse-polarity and short-circuit protection, and status LEDs show charging progress and battery check results. The casing is weather-resistant and robust enough for workshop or touring use.
Each OptiMate 10 comes with the charger unit, a crocodile clamp lead for quick connection, a fused ring-terminal lead for permanent fitment, a mains lead and a user guide. Fit the ring-terminal lead to the battery for easy plug-in maintenance, or use the crocodile clamps for a quick top-up.
Always match polarity (red to positive, black to negative) and keep the unit ventilated and off the ground while it's charging. For long storage periods, Milenco's guidance is that the charger can be left connected, as it will maintain the battery safely and test it periodically.
Mains supply: 220–240V AC, 50/60Hz. Suitable for 12V lead-acid batteries only.
