A few simple habits will keep the Milenco Swiss Luxx Cordless Kettle (1.2 L, Clear-View) working reliably and help it last through repeated use on tour.
The removable limescale filter is there to keep the water you pour clean, but it needs attention itself — descale the kettle periodically, and more often if you're touring in a hard-water area.
Boil-dry protection is a safety backstop, not something to rely on deliberately. Don't overfill past the level markings, and don't run the kettle dry; let it cool between successive boils.
Use the kettle indoors in a ventilated area, kept clear of curtains, cushions and other soft furnishings, in line with Milenco's use guidance.
Because it's a low-wattage design, it's kinder to a shared campsite supply, but you should still use an RCD-protected hook-up and avoid running several high-draw appliances at the same time to reduce the risk of tripping the bollard.
Wipe down the 360-degree cordless base and use the underside cable storage to keep the lead untangled and undamaged between trips.
