The Milenco Heavy-Duty Barbed Grip Mats (product code 2752) are recovery traction mats designed to help a bogged-down wheel find grip on mud, snow or ice.

How it works

Each mat has a barbed tread pattern with an open-ended design, so it bites into soft ground and lets the tyre start on the mat and drive itself forward onto firmer ground. If you're already stuck, place the mat in front of the spinning wheel, then gently apply power to climb onto it. Milenco also recommends using the mats proactively: park with them under your drive wheels on soft pitches to help stop you getting stuck in the first place.

Build

Each mat measures 75 x 25.5cm. They're described as tough and portable, and easy to hose down clean after use in mud.
